Charlotte, 1080p BDRip, complete package. Joint offered by mawen1250 and VCB-Studio
Encode Note:
The quality of the BD source is pretty good with some unremarkable artifacts, which, annoyingly, requires a lot of skills and efforts to fix them without harming the details. The most common ones are the color banding, chroma shift and chroma aliasing. Take a look at the 3rd pair below and it should be obvious for the lines in Ayumi's clothes.
The next challenge is the tradeoff between quality and size. We intended to do this with a very high level of detail retention, but previously x265 showed its weakness with this kind of texture-rich sources. Should we have used the mature AVC solution, We'd probably need 2GB/EP with dual 24bit audio tracks. Good news came that x265 released a new version with improvements in visual quality, and after extensive testing we finally decided to deploy it with new parameter sets, to overcome the former weakness.
This research soon benefits our other projects for which previously we would reject HEVC encoding, allowing us to better utilize the power of new technology for quality improvements.
10bit 1080p HEVC + FLAC, MKV format. ~1.4GB per EP
