Bassist Miki Furukawa’s career starts in 1995 when she led the effort to create the band Supercar, whose name may ring a bell with ‘Eureka Seven’ fans. Supercar performed for a decade, releasing five studio albums along the way. The four members went in different directions in 2005 after their breakup; Furukawa chose to pursue a solo career. A year later she would release her first solo album, Mirrors, a nice synthysis of classic rock elements and dance-pop. Two years later she released this album: Bondage Heart. It veers off in a different direction, immediately evident from the first track. Furukawa continued experimenting with genres well into Very, her third and final solo album in 2010. A year after that she joined the band Lama, bringing her back together with Kouji Nakamura from Supercar, and has performed with them since.
