Studio Apartment - For Her, For Him, For You (27 June 2007)
The recent release of Capsule’s 14th studio album reminded me of another electronica duo I love: Studio Apartment, i.e. Noboru Abe and Masanori Morita. Now there’s is a much more ‘house’ or ‘lounge’ genre of music compared to Capsule’s consistent synth-pop blasts (excepting their debut album, interestingly). I want to say that this is Studio Apartment’s fourth studio album, but I could be wrong, and I am way too lazy to look it up. For Her, For Him, For You features a variety of supporting vocalists, as with a lot of Studio Apartment’s discography. But it begins with an uncharacteristic long track; not that it’s a bad thing, as it showcases Abe’s talents on the piano.
