I was trying to think of how to describe Kana’s music, but all that came to mind is how Spade, her third album, is easily the most polarizing love-or-hate CD I own, and entirely because of Kana’s singing. Or because of her lack of ability to sing. You won’t have to listen to much of this 47-minute synth-rock aberration before deciding you enjoy its oddities or that you hate it for the same reasons. And the rest of Kana’s albums are in the same vein. I chose to upload Spade because it was Kana’s first album that I heard, which admittedly I got on a whim with no foreknowledge about her past work, and because it looks like the album is difficult to find nowadays (e.g. it’s no longer sold through her official site).
