Soukyuu no Fafner (AKA Fafner in the Aruze) brings big anime robot action to the PSP! Based on the anime by Xebec, the game puts players in the role of Kazuki Makabe, a resident of peaceful Ryugujima island, who's enlisted into service when the island comes under siege from giant robots. Kazuki is required to join his subconscious with a giant "Fafner" robot and take on numerous robots in mission-based combat. The Fafner carries a variety of weapons, which can we switched at the touch of a button, and later stages allow you to select a partner robot, to which you can dictate commands. The game follows the anime fairly closely, and includes many cut-scenes and story sections, complete with plenty of voice acting and even a dynamic music score.
