Note: The original uploader of this torrent left the Touhou fanbase in disgust, and won't update this torrent with new, compressed game releases. Feel free to create new versions of this torrent yourself, and link them down in the comments so that I can link to those here!
This contains the main Windows Touhou games by Team Shanghai Alice, from [TH06 東方紅魔郷 ～ the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil] up to the trial version of [TH13 東方神霊廟 ～ Ten Desires], with lossy-encoded BGM instead of the original, lossless thbgm.dat or wave files.
Additionally, the second Seihou game [稀翁玉] (Kioh Gyoku), as well as [黄昏酒場～Uwabami Breakers～] are included, since they were originally lossless as well.
This distribution was created by encoding the original games using the Touhou Vorbis Compressor.
If you already have the games and want to encode their BGM to Vorbis, there is no need to download this torrent.
- All games are in Japanese. English patches can be found at the Touhou Wiki.
- These are in unpacked form to be more transparent, enable single files to be picked and to encourage seeding. Packing them as a RAR would gain about 5 MB per game, which isn't worth it.
- Except for the encoded BGM and the files created by the Touhou Vorbis Compressor, these were verified to contain every file a game installation from the original disks would produce (minus, of course, the lossless BGM files), the omake files, and nothing else.
- Additionally, all games are patched to their latest official version.
- If you intend to run these under Wine, please refer to the instructions in the thvorbis_patchinfo.txt files in order to get BGM.
- The fighting games made by Twilight Frontier, Touhou 7.5, 東方萃夢想 ～ Immaterial and Missing Power, Touhou 10.5, 東方緋想天 ～ Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, and Touhou 12.3, 東方非想天則 ～ 超弩級ギニョルの謎を追え (Hisoutensoku) are not included.
I do not approve of the badly coded (th075) or even lack of (th105, th123) compression used by their main data files, which occupy about 5x more space than necessary.
- libvorbis_decode.dll and wine_setup_dsound.reg are the same with every game.
