Junjo Kirari is the 74th asadora from NHK, and revolves around the life of Sakurako, a girl born to a family in Okazaki, Aichi prefecture. Early on in Sakurako's life, her mother exposed her to the piano. Ever since her mother's death, Sakurako grew more and more attached to the instrument, eventually learning how to play various musical pieces by ear. These experiences combine with the lively jazz music she hears from her father's records and spark a desire in her to play that kind of music on the piano. This story follows her life from 1928 until 1946 and her dream to become a jazz pianist.
