Special: Regular, Unleaded, or Tofu? Internationally, ethanol is being viewed as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuel. But Japan produces very little of the kinds of crops needed to make it. Therefore it would seem unlikely that the country might be embracing ethanol in the near future. However, a whole new and unique method for creating the fuel from a certain food byproduct has emerged. Believe it or not, it is now possible to make fuel out of tofu residue!
